Step 1Look

Read the split

Every activity shows its verdict with the raw counts behind it, so you see disagreement instead of a hidden average.

Step 2Report

File in seconds

No account. Pick the activity, say how it went, write one line. Recent reports count more than old ones.

Step 3Watch

Get told

Watch a site and hear when its rating drops. One email per change, one digest a week, nothing else.

Four things people actually do on a site

Safe is not one number. A site can be fine for taking notes and a bad place to enter a card. Each activity gets its own verdict.

ActivityLogin

Logging in

Fake sign-in pages, locked accounts, unexpected password resets.

ActivityPay

Paying

Charges that don't match, refunds that never arrive, goods that never ship.

ActivityUpload

Uploading files

Files kept longer than promised, shared without asking, or swapped for junk.

ActivityNotes

Writing notes

Lost drafts, public by default, text you can't export or delete.

Questions

Is CheckMySource a virus or malware scanner?
No. It does not scan sites. It shows what real people reported about using a site for logging in, paying, uploading files and writing notes.
Can a site pay to improve its rating?
No. Ratings come only from approved reports. Nobody can buy, hide or remove a rating.
Does a Solid rating mean a site is safe?
No. Solid means most people reported no problems. It is not a guarantee or an audit, which is why we show the raw counts behind every verdict.
What if a site has no reports yet?
We say so instead of guessing. An activity needs at least five weighted reports before it gets a verdict.
Do I need an account to look up or report a site?
No. Looking up a site and filing a report both work without signing up. An account is only needed to watch sites and get alerts.
How do I report a site?
Look it up, choose Report, pick the activity, say how it went and write one line. Reports are reviewed before they count.

Honest limits

Ratings come from people, not audits. A good rating is not a guarantee, thin data is always labeled, and nobody can pay to change a rating. How ratings work shows the exact math.
