CheckMySource is an independent, crowd-sourced safety index. People say what happened when they logged in, paid, uploaded files or wrote notes on a site, and we turn those reports into a verdict per activity.
Nobody can buy a rating. Not site owners, not advertisers. There are no ads and no paid placements.
Thin evidence is labeled. Under five weighted reports a verdict is “Not enough reports”, never a guess.
You see the disagreement. The raw split sits next to every verdict, and the headline is always the weakest activity.
The math is public. How ratings work links to the exact code that produces every verdict.
Little data, kept carefully. No trackers, no third-party scripts, no raw IP addresses. See privacy.
What it isn’t
It isn’t a virus scanner, a legal opinion or a guarantee. Ratings report what people said. A good rating can still be wrong, and a bad one can be a fixed problem. When you’re about to pay or share something sensitive, use the basic checks too.
